Protecting the health and safety of Canadians is our top priority. After reviewing the current international Covid situation we have decided to renew the direct flight ban between Canada and India for 30 days, to August 21st, 2021. pic.twitter.com/hqEYWBrLlm

Those travellers who leave from India to travel to Canada throught an non direct route, are still required to get a valid COVID-19 test result from a third country before getting on a plane to Canada.
The ban was to expire Wednesday. The decision comes with concerns regarding the delta variant which first originated in India, along with a spike in COVID19 cases.
The first travel ban was announced on April 22.
