Calgary Police seize $1M worth of drugs and an AK-47

    Nearly $1M worth of drugs and an AK-47 have been seized by the Calgary police and RCMP in a bust conducted earlier this week.

    Three individuals have been arrested and are now facing a total of 64 drug and weapons charges. Additional charges are also being considered, as per news reports.

    A six month investigation was conducted involving several individuals from Vancouver's lower mainland who were reportedly trying to gain a foot-hold in Calgary's drug market.

    Four search warrants were executed resulting in seizure of cocaine and other drugs.

    Furthermore, a fully automatic AK-47 assault rifle with ammunition, a loaded handgun, and $225,355 in cash was also discovered.
