A 28-year-old man who went on a multi-day crime spree in Burnaby and Vancouver last year has been sentenced to three years and two months in prison.
That's on top of time already served.
Hayden McCorriston pleaded guilty in December to numerous charges, including sexual assault, assault by choking, and robbery.
Those offences were just some of the more than a dozen Mounties say McCorriston committed between March 31st and April 3rd of 2022.
Premier David Eby says the fund will allow non-profit groups to buy older buildings and protect renters from property speculators. The New Westminster Police Department Major Crime Unit has learned the victim was assaulted by someone who was with two other people at the time of the assault. After the assault, the group left the area in a vehicle, and investigators are hoping by sharing video of this vehicle, a suspect will be identified.
