Break in at a Kelowna home

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 15 Nov, 2023 05:03 PM
  • Break in at a Kelowna home

Kelowna R-C-M-P are praising two members of their canine unit in the arrest of a break-and-enter suspect with outstanding warrants from Mission, Abbotsford and Ridge Meadows.

Police were called to a home early this morning for a report of a break-and-enter in progress.

A search of a vehicle at the scene resulted in the seizure of weapons, including a replica gun, and drugs.

The Mounties say a constable and his canine partner tracked for nearly three hours through trees, mud and soot, eventually finding the suspect hiding more than a kilometre away.
