Brazen sexual assault in Surrey

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 02 Aug, 2024 04:30 PM
  • Brazen sexual assault in Surrey

Mounties in Surrey are warning the public and appealing for information after what they describe as a "brazen" sexual assault at a community centre.

The R-C-M-P say they responded to the report on Wednesday morning at the Grandview Heights Aquatic Centre.

They say the victim told police she had entered an accessible washroom when an unknown man confronted her and groped her before fleeing.

The suspect is described as a white man with a medium build who was wearing a grey shirt, black shorts and a black hat -- and police are asking anyone who was at the recreation centre that morning and may have seen or heard something suspicious to call the Surrey R-C-M-P detachment.
