Mounties in Nanaimo say officers are investigating a suspicious death of a man whose body was found near railway tracks yesterday.

They say a passersby found the body around noon behind the curling club on Wall Street in a forested area.

Police say the area has been closed for the foreseeable future while investigators search for evidence. 

They are asking that anyone with information contact the R-C-M-P.

Delta police say they are investigating a single vehicle collision that sent one person to hospital with serious injuries Sunday morning. James Sandberg, acting inspector with Delta Police, says officers responded to a call around 4 a.m. Saturday morning about a vehicle collision on Highway 17 where they found one person with serious injuries.
