Police in Surrey say a man was found dead in a residence over the weekend under suspicious circumstances.
Surrey R-C-M-P say they were called to a residence in the 161-hundred block of 110 Avenue on Sunday.
Officers found the deceased victim upon arrival and arrested one person, who has since been released.
Police say Surrey R-C-M-P's Serious Crime Unit has taken over the investigation, and the incident is believed to be isolated and pose no risk to the public.
The Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver says a jump in new listings is helping to bring some balance back to the region's housing market. The board says September sales totalled 1,926, a 13.2 per cent increase from the 1,701 sales recorded the same month last year. The B-C Prosecution Service says a man has been charged with eight counts of mischief related to vandalism in Vancouver's Chinatown neighbourhood. The service says seven counts are related to graffiti, including three incidents on cultural property, and one is related to the defacing of a war memorial.
O'Brien, who was 51, died Sept. 22 while he and other officers were executing a search warrant at a home in Coquitlam. He was shot and died at the scene, while two other officers and the suspect were injured.
