Police say a man has been arrested and homicide investigators have been called in after a death in a Surrey neighbourhood last night.

R-C-M-P say officers responded to a report of a woman with life-threatening injuries inside a home on 182A Street near Parsons Drive.

The woman was taken to hospital, where she died of her injuries, while officers used police dogs to help find and arrest a man near the area.

The Mounties are asking anyone with information about the incident to call the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team.

Vancouver police say a 57-year-old man has been charged after a racially motivated incident at a city coffee shop. They say it happened on Tuesday at a shop on West Pender and Abbott. The suspect has been charged with causing a disturbance.
