Police in Prince George say a body has been found near the intersection of highways 97 and 16, southwest of the downtown.

R-C-M-P say officers responded to the call shortly before 9 this morning.

They say the preliminary investigation has not uncovered anything to suggest the death was suspicious in nature.

Mounties say they will work on the case with the B-C Coroners’ Service, which is taking conduct of the investigation.

A 21-year-old snowboarder who went missing last week at the Cypress Mountain Resort near Vancouver has been found dead in a gully.  West Vancouver Police say in a statement the snowboarder from Richmond, B.C., was reported missing Friday at about 10:45 a.m.
