Police in Prince George say a body has been found near the intersection of highways 97 and 16, southwest of the downtown.

R-C-M-P say officers responded to the call shortly before 9 this morning.

They say the preliminary investigation has not uncovered anything to suggest the death was suspicious in nature.

Mounties say they will work on the case with the B-C Coroners’ Service, which is taking conduct of the investigation.

The Dutch Supreme Court has rejected online extortionist Aydin Coban's bid to scrap his Canadian sentence for tormenting B.C. teenager Amada Todd.  Coban is a Dutch national who was extradited, tried and given a 13-year sentence in B.C., before being sent back to the Netherlands where he was already serving time for separate offences.
