B.C. Teen Nicholas Hannon's Death Leads To First-Degree Murder Charges Against Three Friends

The Canadian Press, 08 Sep, 2015 12:35 PM
VANCOUVER — First-degree murder charges have been laid against three young men, more than 18 months after the disappearance of their friend.

RCMP Staff Sgt. Jennifer Pound says the body of Nicholas Hannon has been found in Mission, B.C., and charges have been laid against the trio, all in their 20s.

Connor Campbell, Bradley Flaherty and Keith Tankard were arrested Friday and are expected to appear in a Surrey courtroom Tuesday.

Pound has not released many details about the discovery of Hannon's body, but the father of the 19-year-old says the news has put an end to the family's slim hopes that Hannon would be found safe.

Craig Hannon says he feels betrayed that three young men who were welcomed into his Langley, B.C., home on many occasions are accused of the slaying.

Hannon was last seen in February 2014 and his vehicle was found the next day.
