A teacher has been charged with child exploitation allegedly involving a female student at a high school in the Cariboo region of British Columbia.

RCMP in 100 Mile House say 33-year-old Vincent Collins of 108 Mile Ranch was arrested while on his way to work.

Staff Sgt. Svend Nielsen says police learned of the allegations on Wednesday evening and took Collins into custody the following morning.
