Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 16 Nov, 2020 09:07 PM
  • B.C. police put down pit bulls after farm attack

Police have destroyed two pit bulls after the owner of a farm near 100 Mile House in B.C. tried to stop the animals from killing his chickens.

Cpl. Madonna Saunderson says police were called Sunday morning after receiving a report that dangerous dogs were attacking livestock at the farm.

She says several chickens were killed before the farm owner tried to stop the animals, but the dogs charged at him.

Saunderson says attempts were made to control the dogs, but police were left with no choice but to put them down.

She says each of the dogs weighed more than 45 kilograms.

Saunderson says the owner of the dogs hasn't been found.
