BC Hydro Substation Fire Sending Black Smoke Into Air In Richmond, B.C.

The Canadian Press, 15 Dec, 2015 09:56 AM
RICHMOND, B.C. — RCMP in Richmond, B.C., are asking the public stay away from a large fire inside a BC Hydro substation.

Police say that air quality may be affected, in the area of No. 4 Rd. and River Rd.

They say fire crews are battling the large industrial blaze, but it is under control and they may allow it to burn out.

Huge plumes of black smoke can be seen drifting up from the fire near the Fraser River.
