B-C health officials are scheduled to give an update on COVID-19 at 1 p-m today.
The province recorded another 22 deaths linked to COVID-19 over a three-day period bringing the fatalities to two-thousand-873.
Officials say the number of people in hospitals due to COVID-19 declined again with 549 patients in hospital as of yesterday, a drop from 599 on Friday.
The province also reported 974 new cases of COVID-19 over the three-day period ending Monday, although health officials have said the number is likely higher due to testing capacity limits. (The Canadian Press)
Public Safety Minister Mike Farnworth says the lifting of the provincial 30-litre purchase order will occur as soon as the pipeline system is able resume full service, but until then, fuel limits will remain in place until Dec. 14.
Upon the fire being extinguished by Abbotsford Fire Rescue Service, human remains were located within the vehicle. Abbotsford Police Patrol Officers, Major Crime Detectives, and the Forensic Identification Unit remain on the scene. The federal Liberals are expected to introduce a bill in the House of Commons today that would revive a legislative push to repeal mandatory minimum penalties for drug offences. On Friday the government gave the House of Commons a procedural heads-up that a bill to amend the Criminal Code and federal drug laws would be introduced on Monday.
