BC Ferries to reduce congestion at Horseshoe Bay terminal

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 30 May, 2023 12:17 PM
  • BC Ferries to reduce congestion at Horseshoe Bay terminal

B-C Ferries is taking steps to reduce congestion and improve safety at its busy Horseshoe Bay terminal -- and its plan could save travellers some cash.

The ferry service says from June 25 to September 4th, a vessel will be moved from the Horseshoe Bay-Departure Bay route to the Tsawwassen-Duke Point run.

To encourage more travellers to use the mid-Island link between Tsawwassen and Duke Point, a number of saver fares will be offered, including one at 39-dollars for a vehicle and driver -- a roughly 50 per cent savings.

Two vessels will continue to serve the Horseshoe Bay to Departure Bay run but the statement from B-C Ferries says booking in advance is strongly recommended.
