Vancouver's park board is urging Stanley Park visitors to avoid driving to Stanley Park in September to alleviate heavy traffic linked to large-scale events.
The board says visitors should consider using alternative transportation methods or park elsewhere in the city.

Stanley Park is slated to host the Vancouver Triathlon on September 4th the R-B-C Gran-Fondo cycling event on the 9th, the Battle of Britain Memorial Ceremony on the 10th and the Great Outdoors Comedy Festival from September 11th to 19th.
Some roads and parking lots in the park will be closed during the events, and traffic congestion is expected at major entry and exit points.
