Attempted child luring in Coquitlam

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 17 May, 2023 10:10 AM
  • Attempted child luring in Coquitlam

Police in Coquitlam say they're looking for witnesses to aid in the investigation of an attempted child luring incident in the Metro Vancouver city last Tuesday.

R-C-M-P say they received a report of a pair of women who allegedly attempted to lure a 10-year-old girl into a vehicle with an offer of "treats."

Mounties say the girl was walking home from an elementary school on Johnson Street when she was approached by the suspects near Robson Drive and Purcell Drive, but she ran away and asked a city bylaw officer for help.

Police say the suspects fled in a grey four-door sedan with scratches on the passenger side, describing the women as middle aged.
