Mounties in North Vancouver are probing the alleged sexual assault of a teenage boy inside a public park last week. 

Investigators with North Vancouver R-C-M-P say the suspect approached the teen from behind and sexually assaulted the youth at the Inter River Park washroom.

During the attack the victim was able to strike the suspect who later fled the scene. 

The assailant is described as a 30 to 50-year-old-man, about six feet tall with a medium to large build

A Coquitlam man is facing is facing a long list of charges, including trafficking and possession after police say they uncovered a large-scale, cross-Canada drug operation. BC's Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit says police conducted a yearlong investigation that included police in Manitoba, resulting in three arrests and a large quantity of drugs and weapons seized.
