Mounties in North Vancouver are probing the alleged sexual assault of a teenage boy inside a public park last week.
Investigators with North Vancouver R-C-M-P say the suspect approached the teen from behind and sexually assaulted the youth at the Inter River Park washroom.
During the attack the victim was able to strike the suspect who later fled the scene.
The assailant is described as a 30 to 50-year-old-man, about six feet tall with a medium to large build
British Columbia's government has been fined more than $700,000 after inspectors say they found unsafe wildfire mitigation practices at a site in the province's northeast.
