Arrest of 12 year olds in Port Moody

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 09 May, 2024 05:07 PM
  • Arrest of 12 year olds in Port Moody

Police in Port Moody say two 12-year-old boys have been arrested and released with conditions after they allegedly assaulted a girl at a SkyTrain station.

Police say they were notified on Tuesday of a video circulating in the community depicting an assault at the Moody Centre station the day before.

They say the video shows two boys assaulting a girl while bystanders appear to encourage the attack that left the victim with minor injuries.

Police say the motive for the attack remains unclear, but initial evidence suggests it was not provoked, and investigators are asking anyone with information to contact them.
