Arrest made in dog walker assault investigation: North Van RCMP

The North Vancouver RCMP have made an arrest in the investigation of an assault on a dog walker.
Police responded to the initial report on January 23rd after a woman reported she was assaulted by an unknown male while walking her dogs in McCartney Creek park on a trail near Northlands Dr. Cell phone video of the incident was widely circulated on social media.
In the days following the initial report, a suspect identified himself to police and cooperated with the investigation.
On February 11, that suspect was arrested for assault and subsequently released on conditions.
While an arrest has been made, charges have not yet been laid and the investigation continues.
The premiers say Ottawa contributes about 22 per cent of what the provinces spend on health care and they want that to go up to 35 per cent.
