Arrest in fatal shooting: VPD

A man has been arrested following a fatal shooting in East Vancouver last month.

VPD officers responded when two men were shot near Victoria Drive and East 28 Avenue on September 10 just after midnight. Both men were taken to hospital for serious injuries. Zuhoruddin Mansoori, 35, died on Monday morning from his injuries. The second victim is recovering.

VPD homicide detectives arrested one man on October 18. No charges have been laid and the incident remains under investigation.

This is Vancouver’s 13^th homicide of the year.

Criminal charges likely after police dog bites Indo-Canadian off-duty cop

Manjinder Singh Kaila, 55, was bitten by a police dog on May 29, 2021, next to his Surrey home, as the cops pursued a suspect, despite the victim yelling “it wasn’t me". The statement of claim named constables Sarbjeet Singh and Paul Baker, who were working with RCMP dog service at that time.
