Armoured Car Robbed In Montreal After Being Hit By Backhoe

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 22 Oct, 2016 01:41 PM
MONTREAL — An armoured vehicle was robbed in Montreal on Friday after being hit with the front end of an backhoe tractor on a busy street.

Police say a backhoe deliberately crashed into a parked armoured vehicle around 2 p.m. behind a commercial centre in the west end of the city.

Police say the employees of the armoured truck were inside a store at the time of the crash and no one was reported injured.

At least one person took the cargo inside the truck and fled.

Police said they didn't know the value of what was stolen.

No arrests have been made and the case has been transferred to the city's major crimes unit.
