'Armed And Dangerous': Peel Police Identify Awais Khan As Suspect In Mississauga Shooting

  • 'Armed And Dangerous': Peel Police Identify Awais Khan As Suspect In Mississauga Shooting
Investigators from the 11 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a male party.
 
 
On Thursday May 31, 2018 at approximately 6:25 p.m. Peel Regional Police responded to the area of Tenth Line West and Thomas Street in the City of Mississauga for a shooting.
 
 
On June 1, 2018, police issued a warrant of arrest for Awais Khan, a 20 year-old male from Hamilton, for numerous firearms offences.
 
 
Photos that are being released today are of a male that got into a vehicle with Awais Khan and left the area during the incident.
 
 
The male is described as, South Asian, 5’10, 175 lbs, with black hair. He was wearing a black t-shirt with a white stripe across the front and black pants.
 
 
Anyone with information on the identity of the male is asked to call investigators at the 11 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau at (905) 453–2121, ext. 1133.  Information may also be left anonymously by calling Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), or by visiting www.peelcrimestoppers.ca.
