Apparent Suspicious Death In B.C. Now Thought To Be Linked To Animal: RCMP

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 04 Oct, 2019 08:13 PM

100 MILE HOUSE, B.C. - RCMP say an animal may be linked to the death of a man in central British Columbia.

North District RCMP Cpl. Madonna Saunderson says police launched a suspicious death investigation when a man's body was found outside a home in 100 Mile House on Wednesday.

Officers quickly determined that an animal had already disturbed the body.

Members of the Conservation Officer Service are now working to determine what kind of animal might have been involved and whether it played a part in the death.

Saunderson says it's believed there is no risk to the public.

She says police have informed relatives of the man associated to the home where the victim was found and the B.C. Coroners Service is assisting with the case. (CFJC)
