Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 03 Oct, 2023 04:29 PM
  • Ambulance crashes into lamppost

B-C Emergency Health Service says an ambulance with five people on board, including one patient, crashed into a lamppost in Vancouver early this morning.

The service says the ambulance had its lights and sirens on as it transported the patient between hospitals, accompanied by a nurse escort and three paramedics.

It says the patient and one paramedic were taken to hospital in two different ambulances with injuries that were not considered serious.

A statement from B-C-E-H-S says the safety of patients and paramedics is paramount and it will conduct a review of the incident.
