HINTON, Alta. — RCMP in Alberta say they are looking for a person who intentionally shot a natural gas pipeline.
Mounties say the pipeline owned by Talisman Energy was hit using a high-powered rifle.
They say the crime happened sometime over the weekend about 60 kilometres north of Hinton.
Police say a large quantity of natural gas was released before safety devices stopped the leak.
RCMP are asking anyone with information about the shooting to come forward.
The federal agency says the source of the error has been identified and corrected, and updated July job estimates will be released on Friday.
