Alan Kerr Announced New Chief Financial Officer For BCLC In Kamloops

    Following an extensive executive-search process, BCLC has appointed a new Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance & Corporate Services, Mr. Alan Kerr.

     

    Based from BCLC’s head office in Kamloops, Mr. Kerr will commence his role effective January 13, 2020.

     

    “We look forward to welcoming Mr. Kerr to BCLC and Kamloops, both of which will benefit greatly from his expertise, leadership and commitment to community,” said Greg Moore, BCLC Interim President and CEO. “Alan’s extensive experience in financial and people management will be invaluable to BCLC into the future as we continue our journey to deliver great gambling and greater good.”

     

    Through a successful career in the public and private sectors, as well as the Royal Canadian Navy, Mr. Kerr brings to BCLC extensive experience in finance, operations and people management. He is currently the Vice President of Corporate Services and Chief Financial Officer for the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada, based in Ottawa.

     
     

    Mr. Kerr is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Management Accountant (CMA) with a Masters in Strategic Leadership and National Resource Strategy.

     

    “Professionally, I am excited to contribute to the leadership of an organization with a strong social purpose and commitment to giving back,” said Kerr. “Personally, my wife Gwen and I are looking forward to contributing to the community of Kamloops and pursuing many of our hobbies including skiing, hiking and golfing.”

     

    BCLC continues actively recruiting to fill remaining executive vacancies in both its Kamloops and Vancouver offices, including for a Vice President, Social Purpose & Stakeholder Engagement; Vice President, Compliance, Legal & Security & Chief Compliance Officer; and Vice President, People & Culture.
