An air quality advisory has been lifted for Metro Vancouver, impacting the city's northeast along with the central and eastern Fraser Valley.
The regional district had issued the advisory yesterday in response to high concentrations of ground-level ozone.
The district says ground-level ozone is formed when pollution from burning fossil fuels reacts with sunlight.
Smoke from a wildfire burning near Mission also contributed to the hazy conditions.
Emergency food, water, sanitation and health services are badly needed after monsoon rains over the last three months have left more than one-third of the country underwater. More than 33 million people are affected by the floods and with much of the country's agricultural land underwater, the Pakistani government is warning of an impending food shortage.
