Air quality advisory issued for Metro Vancouver

An air quality advisory for Metro Vancouver remains in place due to wildfire smoke.

The Metro Vancouver Regional District says people should postpone or reduce outdoor physical activity particularly if they have underlying conditions related to breathing.

An Air Quality Advisory is in effect for Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley due to elevated levels of fine particulate matter (PM2.5) from BC wildfire smoke. Advisory expected to last until there is a change in weather. For current AQ info: https://t.co/qyfTAdTQkF pic.twitter.com/1UN6QxdywF

The district says smoke concentrations may vary widely across the region as winds, temperatures, and wildfire behaviour change.

Between May and June 2023, a suspect male has attended various Home Depot locations in Langley, Vancouver, Burnaby, Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam to steal Bobcat510 wheeled skid-steers and trailers. In all five incidents, the suspect rented the skid-steers using a false name, removed the GPS trackers and never returned them.
