Air Canada Investigating No-Screening 'Error' At Vancouver International Airport

The Canadian Press, 08 Jun, 2015 05:00 PM
VANCOUVER — Air Canada has launched an investigation after a number of passengers on a flight from Beijing to Vancouver entered the country without clearing Canada Customs.

A Vancouver International Airport spokeswoman says the passengers aboard Air Canada Flight 030 were misdirected into the domestic terminal on Sunday.

Alana Lawrence says most of them were located and processed by Customs officers as usual.

She says the airline is conducting an internal investigation into the "error."

Lawrence says the airport is working with Air Canada and the Canada Border Services Agency to review procedures for flights arriving from international destinations.
