TORONTO — An Air Canada flight from Calgary to London, England diverted to Toronto on Monday morning after a "slight electrical smell" was detected in the cabin.

The airline says Flight AC850 landed safely in Toronto "strictly out of an abundance of caution."

Spokesman Peter Fitzpatrick says the 201 passengers on the Boeing 767 changed aircraft in Toronto before continuing on to London.

On Sunday two Porter Airline flights out of Toronto had to make emergency landings after smoke was detected in the aircraft.

Both landed without incident.
