Abbotsford: On February 15, 2022, the Abbotsford Police Department (AbbyPD) while on routine patrol, were called to assist a male victim who had been stabbed in Inspiration Park. The male victim was located and transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Despite medical intervention, the male victim succumbed to his injuries. IHIT is working in partnership with AbbyPD, the AbbyPD Forensic Identification Section (FIS), and the BC Coroners Service. The crime scene areas in Inspiration Park have been secured and searched. A ground search is pending.
