Abbotsford Police Seek Suspect Who Sexually Touched Other men In University Washroom

    Abbotsford Police investigators are asking for the public’s assistance to identify the suspect of two incidents of sexual touching that occurred at the University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) (Abbotsford campus) on March 20th and 23rd, 2018.

     

    On March 20, 2018, the male pictured above, brushed the genitals of a male student in a washroom at UFV. The victim in this incident followed the suspect and was able to take a photo of him. This incident was reported to UFV security, who issued a warning to students.

     

    On March 23, 2018, a second male student who saw the security warning reported his genitals were grabbed in a UFV washroom on March 16, 2018. The description of the suspect matches the photo above.

     
     

    The suspect is described as a non-white male, in his 20’s, with a goatee. He is approximately 6’ tall, medium build, brown short, wavy hair, brown eyes, and weighs approximately 175 lbs. The suspect was wearing dark jeans, a blue UFC hat, light blue jeans, a blue backpack and a grey jacket. At this time, investigators do not know if this is a UFV student.

     

    Dave Pinton, Director of Communications at UFV states, ““UFV will continue to work with the APD in this ongoing investigation. Patrols and security measures in the area where the incidents occurred have been increased. UFV remains committed to providing a safe and secure learning, living, and working environment for students, visitors, faculty, and staff on our campuses.”
