Abbotsford Man, 61, Arrested For Child Pornography After Year-Long Investigation

    ABBOTSFORD, B.C. — Charges of accessing, possessing and making available child pornography have been laid against a man from Abbotsford, B.C.
     
    Police in the Fraser Valley city say 61-year-old Barry Granbois was arrested following a year-long investigation.
     
    Officers searched the man's home in July and seized computers, memory sticks, hard drives, cameras and phones.
     
    A news release from the Abbotsford Police Department says evidence of sexual abuse and exploitation of children has been found.
     
    Granbois has appeared in court on the charges and has been released on condition that he not use the Internet, and stays away from any children under 18 or locations where they may gather.
     
    Granbois returns to court in Abbotsford on Sept. 19.
