A 4.5-magnitude earthquake shook off the west coast of Vancouver Island earlier today.
Earthquakes Canada says there have been no reports of damage from the quake that was about 213 kilometres southwest of Port Alice.
It comes less than a week after dozens of people reported feeling a 5.7 magnitude quake that rumbled in the same area. (CTV Vancouver Island)

Vancouver police say it unfolded Wednesday at a gas station where a pedestrian was hit with a vehicle, then the driver got out of his car and chased several people while holding a knife and machete. A statement from police says the suspect reportedly punched a passerby before turning back to the pedestrian and stabbing him in the neck and back.
