There are 874 new COVID-19 cases in BC for Thursday. That brings the total to 128,763 cases since the onset of the pandemic. The weekly rolling average is down to 858 cases per day. 

There are 503 people in hospital with COVID-19. BC has hit 178 people in ICU. 1 person has died in past 24 hours of COVID. Total deaths sitting at 1577. 

Johnson and Johnson vaccine will arrive next week. Dr. Bonnie Henry says details on how it will be used will be provided early next week.

Dr. Henry says if you are questioning whether your travel is essential you 'should stay put'.

Dr. Henry says even though it's not against the law, DO NOT travel from Metro Vancouver to the Sunshine Coast or to the Sea to Sky region. "Give them a break."

Dr. Henry says smaller communities do not have capacity to manage extra cases. Asking people not to travel. "Stay away right now" from Sunshine Coast or Sea to Sky corridor.

Health minister Adrian Dix says this week's order of Pfizer has all arrived now. The shipment will be twice the size next week at 276,000.

Dr. Bonnie Henry says vaccine has been constrained the last few weeks and priority worker program has been delayed. Says registration is the easiest way to ensure you get vaccine.
