West Vancouver Police are investigating a collision involving a pedestrian.

On Wednesday, at 6:54 pm, West Vancouver Police attended the 3300 block of Marine Drive, West Vancouver, for a report of a pedestrian involved motor vehicle incident.
 
The pedestrian, a 7-year-old girl, was crossing the street with her family when she was struck by a vehicle travelling westbound on Marine Drive. The child was rushed to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with police.

West Vancouver Police Victim Services will be providing support to the family. 

“This is a very serious incident that resulted in significant injuries,” says Cst. Nicole Braithwaite “We are thinking about the child and her family, and we wish her a speedy recovery.”

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact West Vancouver Police at 604-925-7300.
