There are 457 people in hospital, down 14. There are 154 in ICU, down 7. There are 6,802 active cases. Active number is lowest since March 28.
A BC woman in her 40s is receiving treatment in hospital for a rare blood clot reaction linked to the AstraZeneca vaccine. The likelihood is about 1 in 100,000 of this reaction happening.
The 2 millionth COVID-19 dose will be administered at some point today. So far the province has administered 1,995,496 doses of the vaccine.
Provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry has said B.C. expects to receive more vaccine doses starting this month to enable everyone to get their first shot by June.
