  • 60 year old male pedestrian passes away after early morning crash in Delta

On Tuesday, just after 6:30 am, the Delta Police Department responded to a report of a pedestrian-involved collision at the intersection of 112th Street and 80th Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers located a 60-year-old male who suffered serious injuries. The vehicle and driver involved in the collision had left the scene before police arrival; however, the driver has since come forward and is cooperating with investigators.

The pedestrian was transported to the hospital however, despite medical intervention, succumbed to his injuries.

Investigators are looking to speak with any witnesses to this collision. If you have any information you are asked to contact Delta Police.

Since that time, the Richmond RCMP General Investigation Section (GIS) and the BC Coroners Service have been working to identify the woman without success.  Today a composite sketch of the woman has been released in hopes someone will recognize her.
