On Tuesday, just after 6:30 am, the Delta Police Department responded to a report of a pedestrian-involved collision at the intersection of 112th Street and 80th Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers located a 60-year-old male who suffered serious injuries. The vehicle and driver involved in the collision had left the scene before police arrival; however, the driver has since come forward and is cooperating with investigators.

The pedestrian was transported to the hospital however, despite medical intervention, succumbed to his injuries.

Investigators are looking to speak with any witnesses to this collision. If you have any information you are asked to contact Delta Police.

The attack occurred outside a convenience store near Commercial Drive and East 10th Avenue in the early hours of July 31. Shortly after midnight, a 42-year-old man stopped to buy a slurpee. There was a brief verbal confrontation between the man and another person who was waiting in line, and when the victim left the store he was jumped by three men.
