There are 56 new COVID cases in BC for a total of 147,187 in the province. Four straight days of double digits new case numbers. The rolling 7 day average is now 90. This is the lowest since August 31, 295 days ago.

There are no new deaths COVID deaths in British Columbia. Total deaths sitting at 1743. 

12 - Coastal 18 - Fraser 3 - Island 15 - Interior 7 - Northern 1 - outside. 

There are 1,150 active cases of COVID-19 in BC. This is the lowest number since of active cases since September 1. There There are 111 people in hospital, up 3, and 41 in ICU, down 6.

British Columbia has immunized 77.7% of the 18+ population and 76.2% of the 12+ population. The province has administered 1,001,192 second doses. 23.2% of the adult population is fully immunized.

Dr. Bonnie Henry says Pfizer shortage continues and there is a chance people will receive Moderna as second mRNA dose if they got Pfizer first. Says they are essentially the same vaccine. She says vaccine is the key to travel and be safe. Over a million people are vaccinated and that gives us a summer of hope and healing. 

Dr. Bonnie Henry is doing a bit of a tour. She will be meeting with health providers in Northern Health today and then head to Interior Health later this week to meet with the public health teams there.
