B-C is providing 3.5-million-dollars for a six-day fan festival during the 111th Grey Cup in Vancouver next year.
Tourism Minister Lana Popham says hosting the Grey Cup will showcase B-C as a prime destination for tourism and sport hosting.
A statement says the free festival will feature B-C entertainers, a family zone, Indigenous and cultural displays, and e-sports and flag football tournaments.
The province says the funds will also go toward creating legacy projects, which it says could include activities to promote football and increase participation in sports.
