Vancouver is committing 350-thousand-dollars to the city's Music Fund.
It says the funding will support Indigenous and underrepresented groups working in the music and sound recording industry.
Mayor Ken Sim says the funding is needed to foster "a vibrant local music industry" for supporting the next generation of musicians.

Applications for grants linked to the new funding are open until January 29th on Creative B-C’s website
