3500 rental homes to be built: BC Gov

The B-C government is seeking proposals to create new affordable rental homes through its Community Housing Fund.

Housing Minister Ravi Kahlon says the newest round of funding will create approximately 35-hundred homes.

Proposals will be accepted until mid-November, with the winning applicants set to be announced early next year.

The government says it wants to build 20-thousand homes through the C-H-F program by 2032.

BC's ministries affected by fraud

British Columbia's auditor general has found that 45 per cent of the province's ministries have been affected by fraud. A new report form Michael Pickup says theft was the most common type of fraud that government ministries dealt with between 2021 and 2022.
