A Langley man will be heading to court today after a chain of events yesterday leading to several charges.
Police were called shortly after 8:00 a.m. to attend a possible break and enter in progress in the North Langley area.
A description was provided of a vehicle and a male using bolt cutters to break into a trailer. A Lower Mainland Police Dog Services officer in the area was able to conduct a traffic stop with the described vehicle.
The male was identified and found to be subject to conditions not to occupy the driver’s seat of any motor vehicle, not to possess any weapons and not to possess break in tools. Further, the male was found to be prohibited from driving. A search conducted incidental to the arrest revealed the male was also in possession of a 12-15 inch long knife.
The 34 year old Langley man was charged with Mischief, three counts of Breach of Undertaking and one count of Prohibited Driving. He was held in custody and will appear in Surrey Provincial Court today.
