Darpan News Desk, 13 Mar, 2020 01:05 AM

On March 10, 2020 at approximately 8:00 PM, Whistler RCMP responded to a report of a theft from a vehicle.

A friend of the victim reports that she arrived at the residence and observed a person stealing items from the victim’s vehicle in the 9200 block of Autumn Drive.

The witness reported that the male ran back to a waiting vehicle and then fled the scene. Police searched for the vehicle; however, it was not located. On March 11, 2020 at approximately 6:45 AM the suspect vehicle was spotted by police and fled ending up on the Cheakamus FSR where it was unable to continue.

Two suspects were taken into custody, a 33 year old male with no fixed address and a 22 year old female from Surrey. Police have learned that the vehicle, a white, 2011 Toyota Corolla was stolen out of Surrey and is full of what police believe to be stolen property from the Whistler community.

Whistler RCMP are asking if anyone has been the victim of a theft on March 10th or 11th or observed the above noted vehicle in their community last night to please contact the Whistler RCMP at 604 932-3044 or Crimestoppers.
