3 priority transit corridors selected by the Mayors’ Council on Regional Transportation

Three priority transit corridors have been selected by the Mayors’ Council on Regional Transportation.

Metro Vancouver’s new bus rapid transit routes will be along King George Boulevard from Surrey Centre to White Rock, from Langley Centre to Haney Place and from Metrotown to the Northshore.

A statement from the council says the corridors were selected based on ridership potential that will increase access to jobs, future housing and other developments.

The priority corridors will have traffic-separate lanes, light signal priority at intersections and high-capacity buses.

Kelowna R-C-M-P are praising two members of their canine unit in the arrest of a break-and-enter suspect with outstanding warrants from Mission, Abbotsford and Ridge Meadows. Police were called to a home early this morning for a report of a break-and-enter in progress.
