29-Year-Old Nanaimo Man Tori Bruce Schild Arrested On Child Pornography Charges

    On February 27th, 2020 a Nanaimo man was arrested and charged with several child pornography offences.


    On February 27th, 2020, officers with the Nanaimo RCMP General Investigation Section, attended to the home of 29-year-old Tori Bruce Schild, and arrested him for the possession, downloading and distribution of child pornography.


    The investigation, which commenced in May of 2018, and lead to a search warrant on his residence in September of 2018 and the seizure of items, which supported the subsequent charges laid against him.


    The investigation was the result of information provided by BC ICE (British Columbia Integrated Child Exploitation Unit. No local victims were identified.


    Following his arrest, Schild appeared that same day in Nanaimo Provincial court, and was released on conditions. His next court appearance has been set for Tuesday March 10th, 2020.


    Our officers are dedicated and extremely knowledgeable in the techniques and software used by offenders who attempt to mask their online identities. The message is clear- there is no where to hide, and if you are involved in these activities, the next knock on your door, could be from the police, said Constable Gary O’Brien of the Nanaimo RCMP.
